St. Andrew Bay houses one of most populous populations of bottlenoses. They are the famous grey dolphins that many people associate with television, movies, and the marine parks. The dolphins of St. Andrew Bay may be wild, but they are used to people. It is not uncommon for boaters to see dolphins swimming, feeding and playing in the Bay.
A dolphin tour can also be a great sightseeing opportunity. All tour boats depart Adventure at Sea in Lower Grand Lagoon. They cruise south and cross the pass between St. Andrew Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and Shell Island. While you can take in the beautiful view, spot seabirds and possibly a turtle, keep your eyes open for dolphins.

The best time to see and swim with dolphins is in the early part of the morning when they are feeding. You might also go out later in the day before the sun sets. You can spot dolphins at any time of day, really, but less traffic makes them easier to spot.
